Like many today, charities face challenging times. They depend upon the generosity of benefactors to support their programs. All of the money raised on the Charity Silent Auction pieces will go to help those in our community.

We believe it is in everyone’s best interest to support non-profit organizations that make our community, and our planet a better place to live.

There will be a number of art pieces in a silent auction with the funds to go directly to the Lydia House.

About the Lydia House

Nationally, about half of all homeless women and children are fleeing domestic abuse and violence. Open Door Mission’s Lydia House provides emergency services for women and families in need of immediate assistance. We provide food, shelter, clothing and other basic needs. The Lydia House also offers life changing programs to address the causes of homelessness such as abuse, addiction, or the inability to obtain and maintain steady employment. The Lydia House has safe shelter available for more than 300 women and families.

$400 was raised at our last event, Fashion in Detritus, to benefit the Methodist Hospital Foundation, and we hope to keep that growing for people in need.
